Narathiwat, Thailand — On the second day of its visit to Thailand, Universitas Nurul Jadid (UNUJA), represented by the Head of the International Affairs Office (KUI), reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through a strategic partnership with an international partner.

During an official meeting held at Akhoo by Nasir Restaurant, Bang Nak, Narathiwat, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between UNUJA and the Narathiwat Primary Education Service Area Office 3 (equivalent to the Narathiwat Education Office, Thailand).

The signing ceremony, held on Tuesday morning, July 15, 2025, was attended by the Head of Narathiwat Primary Education Service Area Office 3, Mr. Tohiron Hayilohmae, along with a delegation of Field Supervising Lecturers (DPL) from several Indonesian universities, including Ahmad Naufal Irsyadi, M.MLI. from Universitas Nurul Jadid, as well as representatives from Universitas Abdurachman Saleh Situbondo, Universitas Bhinneka PGRI Tulungagung, and STAIS Nurul Qarnain Jember. Also present were the MBKM team from Thailand and representatives of the partner schools where MBKM students will be placed.

The Head of KUI UNUJA and Field Supervising Lecturer, Ahmad Naufal Irsyadi, stated that this activity was part of the second-day agenda of the Thailand visit to accompany and place MBKM students at various partner institutions in the Narathiwat region.
“We want to ensure that students not only learn in classrooms, but also experience community service and research directly in a global environment,” he said.

This collaboration represents a strategic step for UNUJA in building international networks that are relevant to the local context of ASEAN communities. Through the MBKM program and partnerships like this, higher education institutions are expected to make tangible contributions in promoting collaborative, innovative, and impactful education for both the academic community and cross-border society.
